Former Chelsea goalkeeper and now technical and performance director Petr Cech is set to leave the Blues at the end of the month following the change of ownership at Stamford Bridge this summer, the club have confirmed.
Cech spent 11 years in between the posts for Chelsea, winning every major trophy while doing so, after joining from Stade Rennais in 2004. And, following a brief but ultimately unsuccessful spell with London rivals Arsenal, he returned to Chelsea in a managerial capacity.
However, following the takeover of Todd Boehly, who replaces Roman Abramovich as owner of the west London side, Cech has joined Marina Granovskaia in departing the club this summer.
Petr Cech, Technical and Performance Advisor, will leave his role effective 30 June.

As per an official statement, Chelsea wrote:
‘Since his appointment three years ago, Cech has provided advice and guidance on all football and performance matters throughout the Club, while strengthening the links between our men’s and Academy teams.’

Cech himself told the fans that ‘it has been a huge privilege to perform this role at Chelsea for the past three years. With the Club under new ownership, I feel now is the right time for me to step aside. I am pleased that the Club is now in an excellent position with the new owners, and I am confident of its future success both on and off the pitch.’
And, new owner Todd Boehly added that ‘Petr is an important member of the Chelsea family. We understand his decision to step away and thank him for his contributions as an advisor and his commitment to the club and to our community. We wish him the best.’
