Arsenal legend Ian Wright has admitted that Tottenham’s transfer business has left him feeling s*** this summer, with Arsenal’s north London rivals having already made four signings and on course to make a further two before they leave for their pre-season tour.
Spurs have added Fraser Forster, Ivan Perisic, Yves Bissouma and Richarlison to their ranks, having finished two points clear of Arsenal last season and gaining the final spot in the Champions League for the upcoming campaign in the process.
And Wright, who is Arsenal’s second-ever top goalscorer behind Thierry Henry, has revealed that the business done by Antonio Conte’s side has not gone unnoticed, and predicted them to be problematic for his beloved Arsenal this season.
“I feel Tottenham are going to cause problems,” said Wright on his ‘Wrighty’s House’ podcast. “You can’t not be jealous of that summer, especially coming from the other side of north London.”
“They are frightening, man. Everything we are doing at Arsenal, and I am putting on as my armour. But we have done this. We have Vieira. We have two number 10s now. And we are still trying for [Youri] Tielemans. And we have Gabriel Jesus.
“So, you are trying to arm yourself because the Tottenham fans are saying ‘well, we have Bissouma now, Richarlison, [Harry] Kane, then Bentancur is going to kick in and we have seen what [Cristian] Romero is about’.
“When you look at how Tottenham can flex when they are doing it under this manager, it kind of makes me feel s***.”

Two more to come for Spurs
Tottenham’s impressive summer is far from over yet, with Djed Spence expected to join in the coming days from Middlesbrough and Clement Lenglet also on his way from Barcelona on loan for the season.
It is unclear as to whether further additions will come, with links to Lenglet’s teammate Memphis Depay and another central defender abound across the media.
